Stands up for our Children

  • Increased flexibility, accountability, and funding for the Keely Spinelli Grants to $400,000/yr, bringing total investment to nearly $3.4 million
  • Successfully fought to keep Wellington’s kids together in Wellington schools
  • Pushed for and passed the first paid parental leave policy in PBC to support new mothers AND fathers Worked to help Wellington receive a designation as a Certified Autism Center in 2023
  • Helped create the partnership between Wellington, PBSO and FAU CARD to create the now-annual “A Day for Autism” event

Protects our wallets

  • Voted to keep Wellington’s tax rate at historic lows for residents and property owners
  • Maintained Wellington’s high level municipal services, while maintaining our longstanding commitment to pay-as-you-go budgeting while keeping Wellington virtually debt free
  • Supported the $50 million investment in modernizing our Village’s essential water utility infrastructure that uses the latest technological advancements in water treatment and improves quality, efficiency, and reliability

Maintains high quality facilities and expanded programming

  • Opened the new Community Center, Greenview Shores Park, and many new neighborhood parks
  • Expanded the Wellington Amphitheater
  • Made significant investments to expand and refurbish Wellington’s sport fields and facilities
  • Brought the Bacon and Bourbon festival to Wellington
  • Created “Grab & Go” pantry at Wellington Regional Medical Center to provide basic necessities for healthcare workers during Covid
  • Secured grant funding to acquire an additional 40 acres of land to expand the Wellington Environmental Preserve at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Everglades Habitat
